ABOUT INDIE LAB
The filmmaking laboratory for young artists. The laboratory was founded in 2013 with the support from the United States Embassy in Ukraine.
During two yearly sessions participants from different regions of Ukraine work on editing of short documentary films.
Despite this being the first experience in directing and editing for some participants, their work at the laboratory results in creation of 10 short documentaries each year. To bring their ideas to a completed documentary, the creators of the films are helped by tutor filmmakers from Ukraine and the United States. The participants of the laboratory have created over 80 documentaries that participated at over 50 international film festivals.
